The wax foundation story

The wise beekeepers brings their combs to Colmenares Suizos, for recovering the wax and desinfecting the frames.

The supers and frames are arranged in the melting shop.

All kind of combs arrives. But that's no problem...

...because our famous wax recovering machine, designed and built by ourself, recovers the 100% of the wax. Their capacity is 90 standart deep frames.

Besides recovering the wax, the steam disinfects the frames and the wax as well.

The wax is put in storage, meanwhile the beekeeper decides what to do with. If he is a skilled beekeeper, he gives us the order to make wax foundation with.

That´s the way the frames becomes: clean and sterilized.

Now we have to make wax foundations with the recovered wax. But we also make wax foundation with wax that beekeepers brings to us from all parts of Chile.

The wax is melted in this 200 gallons capacity tank.

Once the wax is melted and purified, he is sent to this tank who feeds the automatic wax band machine.

The function of the wax band machine is to produce endless wax bands from liquid beewax.

The wax band reels goes now to the foundation sheet rolling machine.

The wax is engraved and cut automatically.

The ready wax foundation sheets: 15 sheets/Kg Langstroth, 12 sheets/Kd Dadant.

This is the result from 18 years of experience.

The sheets are stored carefully into boxes.

From the factory the wax foundation is transported to a container and stored.

Before dispatched, he is carefully weighted on a precision scale.

We deliver our wax foundation through out Chile. Preferably with Pullman Cargo. Since years we send everything with this guys and never had any problem with.
